The Videogame Design and Production curriculum, part of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Media and Digital Technologies (Degree Class L-20) at Link University in Rome, is the first of its kind in Italy. It was established to provide the foundational knowledge of the Gaming industry and, above all, the skills necessary to build a career amidst the opportunities of a sector—video games—that is growing exponentially.

A portion of the teaching is structured to provide solid theoretical foundations, essential for fulfilling professional requirements in the gaming field. However, the study plan for the Videogame Design and Production curriculum also includes more technical and creative aspects related to game development (game design, concept art and art direction, 3D modeling and animation, programming, sound design and audio post-production, interactive storytelling, etc.) and other humanities and economic subjects, primarily concerning business (game publishing, marketing, communication, press office and PR management, video game journalism and criticism, product management, etc.).

This is a comprehensive preparation, designed to train development professionals, publishing experts, and communication specialists in the Gaming sector, capable of ensuring innovation and strategic vision within the video game industry.
