The Single-Cycle Master's Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (LM-46) is designed to train professionals with a solid clinical foundation. Students acquire extensive knowledge regarding teeth, the oral cavity, maxillary bones, and temporomandibular joints, learning the diagnosis and treatment of oral pathologies. A significant focus is placed on dental prosthetics, prosthodontics, and oral rehabilitation, together with the comprehensive clinical management of the patient.

Is this degree a DMD, DDS, or BDS?

Yes. In Italy, the educational path to becoming a recognized dentist is a 6-year program known as Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico in Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria. For international applicants, it is useful to understand that this qualification corresponds to the Italian pathway leading to the title of Dentist. For international reference, it may be understood as broadly comparable to the DMD or DDS in North America and to the BDS in the UK and Commonwealth systems, subject to the licensing and recognition rules of the destination country.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible to practice within the European Union, or pursue postgraduate training and specialization pathways globally, subject to the specific licensing board examinations and procedures of the country in which you intend to practice.
